The latest greenhouse gas emissions figures show Australia emits more gas now than when the government was elected.
But the govt wants us to believe we are "on target" to achieve 43% cuts below 2005 levels by 2030.
Enough with the spin: we need to stop approving new coal & gas mines *now*.

They will tell us we need Nuclear - that will keep the #Coal industry going.
That means coal for another 15 years at least!
They are LYING if they tell everyone they can built them in 8 years.
#BS.
Also we haven't got much else to sell!
-better education, now out of range for many people
-get rid of preferential voting
-get rid of biased media esp #Murdoch
-get rid of influencers
-teach politics
and so on.
We won't have coal for "15 years at least."
6-12 months after Dutton gets in, he will drop nuclear by claiming it's too expensive.
He will remove all renewable subsidies, and we will be stuck with coal for the foreseeable future
It could be Dutton uses Nuclear "to just get in".
I think 2 years isn't a very long time.
Don't @ me - this isn't the other place!
Very silly.
There is only one planet. 🌍
There is no Planet B.
This is what happens when you let Fossil Fuel miner write climate policy.

Why not ban all cars and enforce public transportation & bicycle use instead. Give us more freight rail infrastructure to get the trucks off the roads.
Cut off all television and internet 🤷
The policies to reduce emissions are getting cancelled out by the many other policies that contradict any emission reduction policies. Labor like the Libs and Nats in the pocket of the gas companies, as Cook & Albanese demonstrated earlier this week.
1. Properly investigate Liberal Party corruption.
2. Murdoch Royal Commission.
3. No more new coal mine approvals and place an end date for coal mining in Australia.
I am 0/3 so far, and it's so disappointing
The Australia Institute is sounding more and more like a Greens #misinformation outlet.

by 2035? Crisafulli has made it clear that won’t be happening any more. Things like the CIS rely on state govts to play ball
How do you then relate this back to stopping approvals of new coal and gas? I agree that coal and gas extraction need to be stopped asap but your logic appears faulty.
Seems her job was to take the sting out of this info and make it meaningless.
