He’s not being fired yet. It makes sense. They probably don’t have a replacement and can’t imagine Lutz and Diego are rushing to call it early as that would signal to owners that they fucked up big time.
The owners only have to watch a match to see that they ticket up big time. The team is worse now than they have ever been. Maybe worse than that is that they are also boring. Olof needs to go and whoever is responsible for his hiring, whether it’s Diego or Lutz, and I’m pretty sure it’s not Lutz.
We aren’t that much worse than we were under Carnell last season and he lasted until July is all I’m saying.
Even though I don’t think he’s the right guy going forward, firing Mellberg now solves exactly nothing. Maybe they are planning on firing him but no one wants the job.
We played better under Carnell, even at the worst. Olof was a bad hire. He might or might not be a competent coach but he is very much the wrong coach. Give Hack the job for the rest of the season. He got much better results out of a very similar roster. If he does it again, hire him permanently.
I agree Olof was a bad hire but that’s not Olofs fault, that’s the front offices fault.
Why would Hack want to do the dog and pony show again? He had the job, he failed to make the playoffs, he wanted the job despite it being a demotion, and they refused to give it to him. Hack isn’t the answer.
No, it’s not Olof’s fault. It’s likely Diego’s. He wanted to make a splash hiring a former player with a decent profile to promote our “global brand.” Diego should go too.
They should throw a bag of money at Jim Curtin and try to salvage the season and win back fan support.

Remember Carnell wasn’t fired until July.
