Ai literally has 0 language skills. All it does is copy patterns. It doesn't know the difference between a cake recipe and bomb defusal instructions. All it "knows" is 'this string of 1s and 0s usually follows that string of 0s and 1s'.

It knows multiple languages…BINARY (aka machine language) for one, as well as french, english, spanish, german…how else could it communicate with all of us, and how else does it communicate with programmers except through computer languages of which there are more than a few.
All they do is "memorize" the patterns we humans use with them, jumble those up a tiny bit, and spit them back out. They don't see any of it as language, just inputs linked to specific outputs.
LLMs are just pattern recognition programs that are decent at taking vague prompts and giving vague responces based off the writings stolen to train them. That's why we don't see original anything from them, just bits and pieces of human made art stitched together, often nonsensically.
