Yes we can. To think otherwise is capitulation to despair, which is just not in my DNA. I will march in every one that happens locally. I will speak out against this insanity even if no one listens. It has to, and will happen.

No, but Trump calling shots & appears to be making sure it stays that way. He has power of money, vested interests & Putin behind him. From my limited knowledge anyone who stands up to him is ousted & have found themselves voices crying in the wilderness. Europe is at last standing up to be counted.

Information technology revolutions appear to be the prelude to a bunch of violent nonsense, including fascist take overs. Printing press was a whole thing. Radio/video lead to WW2. It always goes this way. We just don’t have the antibodies as a society to deal with this stuff.
