I want to see our dem leadership literally in the streets. I want to see them engaging in civil disobedience inside the halls of power themselves. Sit-ins, chaining themselves to the doors of the senate, whatever the hell it takes. THESE are the kinds of actions these times call for.

So you're unaware that they've spoken at multiple protests and marched with protestors?
"sit-ins, chaining to the doors of the senate"
In a time where we are literally 3 or 4 people short of Republicans collapsing, I don't think arresting Dems is a good thing.
I do maintain, though, that civil disobedience is called for.
Now, given that this happened and you were unaware of it, is it perhaps possible that you've been missing a *ton* of what Dems have been doing and saying?

I guess don't view giving prepared speech at a televised rally as "protesting in the streets", but I accept you do.
This is what Jeffries is doing here.

Or Rep. Bonamici

Do you view his event as equivalent, or as meaningfully impactful? I don't, but I accept that your opinion may differ.
Dems doing it, getting arrested, and then being unable to shut out Republican bills when they need shutting out, is a bad idea.
But, to engage in your hypothetical... let's say *I* were able to chain myself to the doors of the senate. Do you think the arrest of some random guy whould have the same positive impact as if, say, Chuck Shumer did so? I don't.
Where I *DO* disagree with you is that I believe that those risks are not only called for in these times, but are outweighed by the benefits of doing so.
