Started watching "The Eternaut" last night. It's pretty great, so far... Argentinian apocalyptic sci-fi. Sort of like a cross between "A Quiet Place" and "Night of the Comet"... maybe with some "Earth Abides" thrown in. - ThreadSky

The true story of its author is deeply tragic, however -- he and his family were murdered ("disappeared") by the fascists in 1977.

“Night of the Pencils” is a true story about some of the disappearances - I remember randomly coming across it on cable back in the 90’s and it’s always stuck in my head

If your local library offers Hoopla, you can read the original comic there. It is OUTSTANDING, I'm about 2/3rds through and loving every page.
