Wild rabbits tho, you're again dealing with risks like tularemia. I don't mean to put people off hunting and raising their own food, just trying to make people realize that these are not the simple equivalent of going to Ralph'e supermarket

Oh yeah, anything wild has potential risks. I don't hunt so if I was forced into a scenario i would either buy and breed meat rabbits or raid pet stores during the "apocalypse". Pet rabbits aren't as good, but will do if need be. Still wouldn't be easy, but easier than hunting.

My parents literally fed us rabbit pie and swore it was chicken. We had a long history of them feeding us steak and kidney pie and swearing that no kidney was present.

Steak and kidney taste different.

So do rabbit and chicken.
