This all shows the perils of politicizing the military - Americans are desperate to see it as their co-partisan - and how all sorts of narratives can easily take root about the military when you don’t really know it at all. Fin/

Telling what? That they didn't take even more time and energy out of their training schedules to do something that in no way defends the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic?
So you know, they have conbat training, military drill, and then they receive job training. They march everywhere during training. Everywhere. Military march with pride.
During training, which is less than a year for most soldiers. Once at their permanent duty stations, marching is rare unless there's a ceremony. Marching isn't practiced like physical fitness or MOS after training.
It's fun to laugh at the parade, but our military doesn't focus on pageantry.
It's right there in the army's mission in title 10: Preserving the peace and security and providing for the defense of the United States, the Commonwealths and possessions, and any areas occupied by the United States, and marching in straight lines for no apparent purpose

The troops did not care to look sharp. That is telling.
No one is criticizing them.
For those who know, it was a telling sign.

Many others remember through muscle memory. Many vets notice the same thing I do.
Anything is possible.
The argument doesn't hold water when you have been present for military ceremonies.
You proved nothing.
Military members are able to chew gum and walk.
Did you have difficulty balancing the demands placed upon you when you served?
This is why employers often preferred to hire ex military. They were disciplined.
🙄
“Yeah, back in the day I was pretty good at that. Pret-ty good. *chuckle* yeah back in high school I was considered skilled.”
Hey let’s do some trigonometry now.
“What the fuck is wrong with you? Why? No.”
You're comparing simple marching with trig?
Did YOU serve? When’s the last time you saw a company do a counter column march correctly?
Did you serve?
What that require of captains and majors and generals, I am not sure
I wonder what you have in mind by "co-partisan"
