I've had this account for a month or so, but I've fully jumped ship because the morning after the election, my timeline and For You suddenly got really, really bad, and blocking, muting, and marking "Not Interested" didn't seem to change anything- I just got different accounts saying the same stuff.

Oh, I don't think scientists are ever dull! Too much curiosity about the world. I'm a senior and take classes on a variety of subjects to keep my brain active. Besides, I have an almost 9-year old grandson in a STEM magnet program- gotta keep up with him! 😂

Left Xitter and gave threads a chance about a year ago. In the run up to the election, threads became increasingly toxic despite a heavy use of the block feature. Final straw for me was yesterday when Zuckerberg posted a thread sucking up to trump. So giving Bluesky a try.
