There are now a number of incredible folks from the NEH & state humanities councils who will be looking for jobs. They are humanities leaders, strategists, thinkers. You want them on your team.

100%. I heard from the PO who came to Emory last Dec. for a regional application writing workshop I organized that she'd been RIF'd today. She's an amazing professional who does her work for the sheer love of it. Maybe these foundations will need to expand staff as they grow their grant programs.
