Too many slim margins. We're great at ball retention, but we're not ruthless enough. We rarely blow teams away by 3+ goals.
We need to think of alternative approaches for the final third next season. We've relied heavily on set pieces and Saka moments of brilliance to win us games.
We're exhausted and there are no good subs to bring on. I think that the recent death knell has been insisting on *not* starting Sterling because we want to get in shape for Europe. But at least he was soaking up 30-45 minutes of garbage time for Saka or Martinelli. Now, we have our starters
Shocking tbh, and we deserve to be where we are in the league with these stats irregardless of injuries/suspensions. Really have to hope Berta comes up.with the goods in the summer otherwise it'll be more of the same
Us not killing games off by scoring more goals is the biggest reason for this. We need to go above and beyond to score a goal. No team in the world makes it harder to score than us. I don't want us to spend one more penny on a defender. We need 3 new starting attackers! CF, LW and a 10.
We need to overcome opponent and referee shithousery to accomplish anything on the pitch. We *still* had the advantage on field tilt and xG after that shit half of football, what does that tell you? We're not getting what we deserve and it's affecting the players.
I would find this reasonable and you are not wrong as a whole. We flirt with margins and end up getting the worse side of stick everytime. Summer huge for me. Need to add 3 top level attackers.
You have to take into account that other teams have dropped points from winning positions too though. Liverpool have dropped 11 so it’d be closer at the top but probably nowhere near close enough.
