2025 does feel like a fake year, as a millennial kid you grow up thinking that's gonna be when there's finally world peace and technology has vastly improved all of our lives and instead you look outside and we're in the bad timeline

I was promised hovercars, full-dive virtual reality and aliens! Instead I got climate disaster, Nazis 2: Electric Boogaloo and crippling depression! I want my utopian hopes back!
I'm guessing it'll be 3025 before we get there, but if we look back on history, there has always been substantial improvement, even in the face of manmade horror beyond comprehension. We'll get there eventually, I believe in us. ❤️
The worst part is that people made this happen, not even on accident like most pop culture depicts, but they actually WANTED it to happen. Really shows how little common sense the human race has.
I'm very committed to not being a doomer, I won't let the dread consume me, I can't predict the future but a better world is necessary and I'm not going to stop trying to make it possible, however I can with what I got
We have no choice but to stride aggressively into what we hope for in a better future. We can only try to do the best to improve our surroundings for both ourselves and others. We can't assume things will just get better, we WILL strive to make them better instead.
I remember a commercial saying we’d be going to Mars in the year 2030. Yeah, right! I don’t even think that’s a good idea anymore. We’ve got problems on Earth that need solving instead.
I like to think of this timeline as, "We have all this world shit but we're living in balance because we have Pokemon in our lives". Gotta just accept the small things I guess!
i remember writing a 'Future Report' in gradeschool and i think my kid self would be disappointed there not being a moon base by now but thrilled we became a dog woman
