Some, sure, but the one where a guy called 'Hopper'attacked them with locusts and giant stag beetles? Or that...thing where they accidentally summoned Blastaar into the house? Awful.
I saw some gems there when I was researching back in Feb. I was truly in awe and overcome with emotion being in the presence of such treasures. Not to mention their facsimiles alone are something to behold
I’m here learning more about the collection in anticipation of our live show at LoC on June 6, as part of World Pride! Here’s my host, Megan, who’s head of the Physical Collections Services Section
Serial & Government Publications Division.
LoC also has a close relationship with SPX, and a huge collection of independent comics and zines. (I didn’t get photos because I was too busy being in awe.)
I also got to see some of the newspaper and periodical archives, which were stunningly cool. Digitization makes content more accessible; but it’s a supplement to, not a substitute for preservation of physical artifacts.
We’ll do this again with better documentation when we’re back in June; but it was such a pleasure and privilege to get to see everything I did today! Thank you, Megan, and the whole LoC staff. 💜💜💜
I used to own a copy of X-Men #1. Mine wasn't in as good of shape. This was well before the first X-Men movie came out, so it wasn't worth nearly as much as they are now. I still wish I had it, regardless of its worth.
Excuse me friends 📢
Three innocent souls lost their mother. I'm their only hope now. Every dollar you give is not just help it’s a lifeline.
A small gift today could change their tomorrow forever.
Please, don’t look away

I figured it might be on loan to them as part of their Higher Education Motivational Collection. You know, aspirational stuff. Give them little magats some incentive to learn to read.
Yeah, they discourage gloves now because gloves remove the tactile cues that let you know when you're handling something poorly. Archivists found more things got damaged in small ways when people wore gloves.
Originally Cyclops’ name was “Slim Summers.” Or maybe that’s just what they call him but he’s introduced as “Slim.” Jean Grey is Marvel Girl. That’s really cool you get to see all this.
"Yes, the Library of Congress has X-Men #1! It has X-Men Prime #1, the first issue of 'Age of Apocalypse'! It even has New X-Men (vol 1) #115, with the destruction of Genosha! You know what it doesn't have? Uncanny X-Men #428-34, 'The Draco'. The Library of Congress knows what's up!"

Not enough crayons?
Is that a classic now?
I think it's new stuff!
