I thought cinematography was good in cinema until Greig Fraser came along and raised the bar. Dune, Rogue One, Batman 2022, The Creator (also credited to Oren Soffer).

All very true, and Andor has been amazing. I think your timeline on Diego Luna's casting for the series is a little off though, as Rogue One only came out not quite 9 years ago

I tried to be objective. But there seemed to be way too much screen time on certain characters. I felt could have been better served as a conversation piece between other characters. And whatever happened to his sister?

It's surprising that it even got made, though the tone is fairly antithetical to much of the Star Wars cannon, and especially to Disney's efforts with the franchise. Your premise is probably correct and I've yet to see a vision for the future of Star Wars that fills me with any hope.

I'm on record saying Disney should stick to animation to tell all the Star Wars stories they want. We'd never have gotten 3 seasons of live action Bad Batch.

On the other hand, I have to admit the Ghorman Massacre wouldn't have hit the same way in animation.
