I remember when I was in HS when we’d walk out of classes it would be about ⅓ were for real and ⅔ just walked to get out of class.
But I think this time, shit is for real.
Whoever is organizing these needs to put away the Mexican flags and have protesters carry American flags. There is nothing wrong with the Mexican flag but protesting with the flag of a foreign country is poor optics.
The Mexican flag is a Native AMERICAN symbol. It is a cultural ethnic racial symbol of people that have been on this land for thousands of years. Please understand history before you opine about optics.
“Poor optics”…you mean fighting for land you live on that we as white people took without care of what happened to those already here? White people took this land from Hispanics and Native Americans. We don’t deserve to fly that US flag anymore. We never did.

No! We’re not going to put the Mexican flag away when Mexicans are the ones being terrorized and persecuted in the United States right now. The U.S. is threatening to invade Mexico, it’s purposely targeting Mexican people in the states. Ask yourself why a Mexican flag bothers you so much.
1) people *have* been flying the American flag at these protests, but 2), even so, why fly the flag of people who hate us and want to round us up and put us in camps?
Mexicans and Mexican-Americans have served in the U.S. military under the U.S. flag for many generations and this country still wants to expel us from land our ancestors were on before the white people came.
What an asshole for even suggesting that. Sure, we'll just throw a whole population out of their land so we can take it over and we can build condos and hotels along the Mediterranean. What a f'cker!

and it's how LA geared up to fight to end the Vietnam War.
Tired of people who get offended by protesters waving the Mexican flag! Has anyone else noticed how they only get upset and/or uncomfortable by the Mexican flag? If they were waving Canadian, Irish or Italian flags they wouldn’t say a f’n thing. But the MX flag? They get all bent out of shape. 🙄
While I get the support message, as unions in California found out, it’s more effective to carry an American flag because it looks very ominous to see Americans out in the streets protesting
Does not matter. Has to happen in red state or they will just laugh at Cali. Change happens when red states lose jobs and there is a Tesla boycott. Cali already has the votes.
