current status of the cave generator! you can see the replacement based path shaping and diagonal cleanup in the middle, and the new lake shore paths / overlooks in purple (contraction at the end).

thank you so much, and it is part of it! that's one of my favorite parts. it's functional actually- that's the first step in the topological island finder.
so much of the appeal, so much of the work, is the algorithm as it's running! i hope working this way (and the output too!) can help to try to surface that so other people can enjoy it too.
