My yard also, and quite proudly, sports the same perennials in the Spring. I see no reason to be aggressive with them since they give up after the yard is mowed a couple of times.
"Dandelions improve soil quality by adding organic material as their roots decompose, which nourishes soil microorganisms. They also aerate the soil, helping to break up compacted ground and enhance overall soil health."
Someone just posted @ the anti-47 rocks they are painting and leaving around. ALL replies were like "what a great idea". I replied that paint is one of the biggest most uncontrolled spreader of microplastics there is. All living things now have microplastics in them. https://academic.oup.com/etc/article/44/1/26/7942808
Sarcasm often isn't obvious, which is why nearly everyone I see attempting it either does a better job than you did or adds /s at the end. And no, "they" haven't outlawed clarity on Bluesky either.
Sarcasm in text is hard to do. It's amazing how much easier it is with body language and tone of voice. I enjoy trying to do it, but no matter how much time you put into conveying the sarcasm in a PC way, there will always be some that don't get it. It's challenging, to say the least.
So, when all the "too much regulations, whiney bish's" vote for politicians that could care less how much carcinogens fill the air, water & soil, don't cry when your grand babies & babies are born with any number of diseases that can't be cured (or studied because you voted against that too).
Dandelions hurt no one and are great contributors to our ecosystem! Leave them alone! Spraying man made chemicals on the ground poisons everything including groundwater!
Cats, too, I reckon. My former two cats went outside, and both died of cancer, one at ten years. I have lawn focused neighbors. Current cat is inside only, except when he occasionally escapes (he's a tricky one). But then, he is impossible to take to the vet, even with gabapentin, so...*sigh*.
I won't let my cats out anymore either. I akso want to protect them from illness, plus I don't want them killing the outside animals and birds.
Taking my animals to the vet totally stresses me out. I have to take half a Xanax!
Dandelion usually is an indication your lawn is high in nitrogen i believe, i could be remembered incorrectly but you dont need pesticides and chemicals to treat them. You need to treat your soil.
Monsanto shouldn't even exist anymore. If you live by a golf course the likelihood of cancer is also increased by somewhere between 40-70% if i remember correctly.
Pardon the honesty, but artificial chemicals are not necessary to have a weed free lawn either. Many weeds are invasive non native plants that choke the ecosystem.

Dandelion is the first food for bees.
We can't afford to lose a single bee!
