Disability cuts and Winter Fuel are 2 of the main reasons Labour did so terrible at local elections. They should abandon these proposals ASAP and find a way forward from elsewhere. The choice is keep your flawed fiscal rules or have progressive policies that win the next election, can't have both!

As bad as that all sounds, I'm way more concerned with how their current policies badly affect working class people. As a disability benefit claimant myself, their current proposals must be shot down. This country didn't vote for more austerity and people are sick of cuts. The mainstream is rotten.
