Nobody is trying to stop driving or force cars off the road. If anything the complete opposite. New roads are being built, proposals for pedestrian isationbor cycle lanes are dropped if a few complain

Apps are far safer than paying at a kiosk with a credit card. 5 minutes after using my card locally, bogus charges showed up from down south. This has never happened using parking apps. BTW, I pay as I go with Google Pay, the app doesn't have my financial info.

Depends on the app, a lot of them are as bad as that, as well as hard to use, and there is no standardization, everyone has their own app. I hear it's much better in civilized countries with a standardized, nationwide app that actually works.

I don't question there are sketchy apps out there. Bad software exists everywhere because of managerial and corporate greed. Cutting corners happens way too often. The couple apps I use here in the Mid-Atlantic have been solid.
