I'm sorry, but I feel like the "tea party" spawned because of a black man being president. Because the next step of theirs was birtherism, brought to you by President shit stain.

Thank you for this. It's one thing for elected officials to do their jobs. It's quite another when your "co-workers" engage in birtherism and trash the office and...checks notes...arrest you. Do we just have to wait until people notice their Medicaid and SNAP and social security are gone?
Besides the point that the D's passing the healthcare bill in the middle of the night was a bit more like Santa sneaking in to put a stocking-stuffer under your tree and this is vandals in the night flipping the switch that will make your train roll of the track in a few miles.
Republicans only get outraged by things that directly affect them. If it doesn't affect them, they will ridicule it as someone else's problem. So, unfortunately in the "land of the free" we will have to wait for the troglodyte population to catch on.
Being as it’s mostly white folk who get these benefits I hope it doesn’t take too long. Old Aunt Ethel in her cabin in the Smokey mts will be finding out soon enough-
Bingo, I hope so as well. You even have J6 Fist bumper Josh Hawley rallying against the Medicaid cuts in DEEP red Missouri. Only because his job would be in jeopardy otherwise.
Maybe instead of a ballot in the voting booth, we just need two buttons: one says "Medicaid" and the other says "pronouns." Help them focus on their priorities, you know?
The Tea Party actually goes back a little further than Obama. His presidency caused it to expand and to encompass people that care more about being anti-Black than they did the original fiscal conservative roots of the sect. Remember Grover Norquist? That goes back to the 1980s
The so called Original fiscal conservative is just a segregationist. The WHOLE concept of conserving. Is to take away social services to benefit the rich and privatize it so the poor and marginalized can't afford it.
I think is true now. I don’t think that was true in the 1980s. I think there were people who believed in a balance. I know it is difficult to see now, but there truly was a time in America when even GOP politicians stopped short of laws that actually hurt their constituents.
....hmmm..Reagan...Bush? Nope. Try again. BTW the Heritage Foundation who have been in republicans ears since the Civil Rights act was passed, kind of says otherwise.
Reagan and Bush are not the whole party. The Tea Party began as a grassroots movement. I’m not saying the results weren’t anti-minority. I’m saying it was not the intent of many. The problem was those same people doubled down when the data proved minorities were harmed.
No offense, but every one of those presidents was an identity of the republican people. Decades of republicans praising the ghost of Ronald Reagan against welfare. Republicans screaming if you're not with us, you're against us while shunning any Middle Eastern person after 9/11....then birtherism...
Just like now the admin is claiming that Gaza/pro-Pali activism=antisemitism while many of their supporters, members, and surrogates are openly, actually antisemitic.
It's a false pretext so they can do something that benefits themselves that they wanted to anyway.
IDGAF what they claimed. They claim now they're for law abiding citizens while deporting AMERICAN citizens. The right, HAS always been claiming the opposite, while being blatantly racist. Welfare queens/AIDS/War on Drugs/Patriot Act/Muslim Bans. All republican hysterical events. Stemmed in racism.
Excuse me? You have nothing to refute my statement. So you try to dismiss it by personally attacking me. Sounds about right for a fascist apologist. I thought you all right wingers loved personal responsibility. Yet you never take it. 🤷♀️
They NEVER cared about fiscal responsibility or whatever the heck the Tea Party was clamoring for. It was all about a Black president. The Tea Party turned into MAGA.
💯 before that they were the anti welfare queens of the 80s, before that they were the segregationists that protests school integration, before that they were the slave owners.
