Without a shadow of a doubt, because we did, and to hold the opinion that we didn't you really do need to overlook a rather considerable amount of evidence. Moreover we did so knowing that Ukraine could not win a battlefield war, but it was never expected to anyway. Such are the best laid plans.

Scotland, where I watched the English establishment react to what is in fact a rather old school Labour politician as if he was Che Guevara, as they ran around protectively gathering their wealth and privileges around them like so many frightened chickens. It was quite the show, once again.

Oddly enough Labour's ambiguous position in 2017 won them over 40% of the vote. The Labour right pushed for Corbyn to back a second referendum in the knowledge it would cost votes. It's why after pushing the policy for GE2019, Starmer immediately dropped it when elected leader. Job done.
