Personally I think Trumps handlers are trying to get Republicans voting against these awful choices and poke their head out so they know who isn’t loyal enough.
I think you are right. With a mix of bait and switch, and some subterfuge thrown in. Let the masses concentrate on the Gaetz's et al of the world and maybe they'll forget about the rest of the swamp picks.
