Yes I did! I played a round of F-Zero GX in widescreen. Same great game, ran smooth, no noticeable problems. GameCube interface is identical to the current Switch Online library ones.
Yeah I feel like this is them kinda just scoping something like Arms to its actual ceiling rather than assuming it is laying the groundwork for a big long term hit.
So the impression I get, particularly for DK and Mario Kart, is that they're using a LOT of that extra horsepower for more expressive animations and a solid frame rate with their famously strong art direction. Is this what you experienced?
Yeah basically. I think the power is more going towards making a lot more happen on screen at once. That was sort of the big takeaway from the three big games. Things that would have made the Switch chug to 15fps now running strong at 60.
