McDonald's claims that the sandwich is composed primarily of shoulder meat. As it turns out, the truth is much less appetizing. Chicago Magazine broke the story that the ingredients actually consist of restructured meat products like heart, tripe, and scalded stomach.

I agree it’s repulsive — but then again I’m a vegetarian and have been for almost thirty years, so basically all meat turns my stomach.

The best rib-oids were at a 24 hour bodega near 34th and 9th, when I lived in NYC and worked weird hours, going in there around midnight, to find rib-things floating in a days worth of grease under hot lights, the top blackened, the bottom the color of wet concrete. Utterly vile, utterly unique.

I tried this in my teens... I took one bite, spit it out immediately and asked them if this is spoiled. It's so utterly disgusting and rotten, that I couldn't imagine that it's supposed to taste like this.
