I used to do reporting/anchoring at a small station. One time a viewer handed me a picture of myself and asked me to sign it. I did because why not, and then it occurred to me that this might be the only job paying $12 an hour that people could conceivably want your signature for.

It seems pretty silly when people assume that a large account on Bluesky somehow makes money but I am reminded of when I saw my local tv news weatherman at the grocery store and was so impressed because I assumed he was a billionaire for being on ABC7 telling us about hail
