You can currently stream it on Paramount but it has been unavailable for I believe a couple of years. French with English subtitles. I don't like subtitles but I rewatched the series in entirety immediately so I could share it with my wife.
I have gotten zero bad BD titles from them I think. And love the “Studio Classics” line of less celebrated stuff that has just enough fans to justify a run
haha remember when we saw THE DEADLY TRAP with Faye Dunaway, her kids get kidnapped? Kino release 😎
Ah, Kino has also launched like with many physical media businesses a standalone streaming service which has a back catalogue of 4,000+ titles. https://www.imdb.com/news/ni64593068/
i am beyond a freak. Barnes and noble does a discount monthly on some sort of boutique label. Sometimes they are great deals and sometimes they aren't. the 50% off here is "solid" given it's 50% off a price i dont think Kino ever actually charges. It gets lower direct from them 2x year
Maybe? Most physical media businesses are shooting for both ends, bringing in the physical media connoisseurs, and those more apt to head to streaming viewing first.
It’s things like Sony purging games & media disappearing from streaming libraries that convinces me. Plus streaming getting harder and harder to navigate. eg last night I was thinking, “Ah, I’d like to watch [movie].” Is it on Netflix? HBO? Should I google? Has it disappeared completely? Who knows!
That's always going to be a thing with content leaving and added back. Same things takes place with music streaming all the time. Normally the content pops up back in a few weeks. I've been using this handy search site below for streaming content to check.
it will remain a small but dedicated market until and unless streaming can actually deliver lossless video and sound. I'm not sure it would ever make fiscal sense to do that - compression is probably always going to be there because it just makes sense for most users.
