Especially with the end of De Minimis, it's apparent that there is a huge cost to shipping that Americans just had no idea about.
We need to make it more affordable! Invest & fund!
And don't get me started about fire departments! And public schools.

At least USPS delivers letters!
Or.....the Pentagon.
We *spent* it on a service the the private sector cannot provide for anywhere near that price.....
A $3 billion budget shortfall on operating revenue of $80 billion is Congress failing to fund the agency appropriately.
Do you have expectations that DOD runs on a break-even basis?
We can't have elections without the USPS. Which is another reason the far right wants to dismantle it
Executive Office of the President has an annual budget of $714 million.
Executive Residence at the White House has an annual budget of $16 million.
Most folks don't expect law enforcement to function like a business b/c there's no equivalent.
But they definitely can see how the Postal Service should function like FedEx or UPS.
I'm saying it's one that makes sense to most folks who tend to not think deeply about much of anything. They need to be spoon-fed easily-digested information.
It merely confuses them when you start talking about comparing USPS with cops.
But it's completely useless in trying to persuade regular folks of much of anything.
Democrats have to work as hard to demonstrate why government public goods are, well, good for Americans.
It's really not that hard, but folks like Schumer and Jeffries just don't work on much except campaign fund-raising.
