I refer to it as lazy medicine. It's ok if your doctor isn't sure what's going on but to attribute it to being psychological is very damaging. They do it all the time.

Exhausting. The best docs acknowledge they don't know everything. I constantly feel I am being humored and my concerns/symptoms not taken seriously or given any urgency.(going through it now)
I had the spots on my ribs that were painful and once cancer was ruled out nobody cared anymore -except him. He figured out what they were, called me on a Sat.
It's trauma inducing, there is no doubt. If I try to advocate for myself bc my life depends on it the next call I get is from the social worker. It pisses me off. I am always walking on a tightrope at appointments

I would have become a philosophy major if I knew I was going to have to prove I exist to get medical care.
But it's not a primary care provider so I can only get help with one symptom at a time
I don't go unless I absolutely have to because it's exhausting just walking down the hall
