A major medical group now recommends pain-blocking treatments for IUD insertion and other procedures amid a growing recognition that women's pain should be treated.

Me: the first one was so painful I fainted over the doctor's desk. Never again.
And yet not. I wonder what man made up the 'no pain in cervixes'.
I didn't have another for 30 years, until they said I couldn't have HRT without. It still hurt, but the nurses were much kinder.
