Police did not apprehend the suspect, knowing they were checking based on the previous shooting, and seeing the suspect come out the house and the suspect escaped on foot? Do I have this correct?

From the briefing I think DA is right. When they got there the truck was in the driveway and they sent a drone into the house. It was about 10 minutes in and I think the briefing was recorded.
I've never heard of a gunman going on a murdering spree, then shooting at police and escaping alive on foot out the back door in my neighborhood, so I am astonished by this
From what I heard, he escaped into the house, so they surrounded the house and eventually went in with a drone. I'd like to know the duration between officers arriving at Hortman's home and the moment they discovered her body.
Same, because if they pulled her husband out and he was pronounced dead shortly after, was there time to render aid? How long did this drone take, set-up included?
Yes this is entirely perplexing to me. They went to Hortmans knowing a suspect was in the world, showed up to the police lights, how could they be fooled by this? They have comms, they know if other police are on the scene? This does not make sense.

This feels like stalling to me.
This "dressed as" and "impersonating" shit is because they don't want to get too epic about this domestic gladio stuff just yet.
