Dorna are teasing 'an announcement regarding a future project uniting the most exciting sport on Earth and one of the top lifestyle brands in North America' which is almost certainly Harley Davidson. Bagger races coming soon?

The dumb fuckery goes all the way down these days. They just shit canned the CEO and cancelled all their dei programs. It's like hd is actively trying to appeal to fewer people and go out of business faster....
Just when I thought HD changed paces with the new Pan America and Sportster, they go and do all that because a bunch of losers can’t deal not being artificially top of the pile.
Racing hogs like that is stupid. If you want to see H-D's racing either have H-D try making a racing motorcycle (again), or go watch flat track where they actually are competitive. Why make us racing fans suffer through a 'lifestyle biker' contest of who can make these pigs go around a track faster?
You think that's racing? That's a funny one. It's just a marketing ploy for overweights...glad you like it though and it gives you pleasure. For me it is gratuitous flogging of a non-racing motorcycle for the cult. Oh well...
There's a novelty to racing bikes that are explicitly made not to race. Futbol is the most popular sport despite humans being far more dexterous with their hands. Same principle.
No matter how much you try to reason racing HDs isn't worthwhile, it's still one of the most popular classes...
... in MotoAmerica. Clearly others have decided that good racing is the only requirement they need to watch.
On top of that, your purism is keeping you from watching good racing that involves a bike twice as heavy as a SBK, putting in SSP times, while using SBK tires not made for that weight.
Yah, I get it. Kinda like what Nascar started out as...but it evolved. Maybe there's hope for that to happen here too, but I doubt that it will ever be anything more than it is. To each their own, best wishes to those of you who enjoy this spectacle...
While I don't disagree with your point, I'm not sure MotoGP is the right series. The rookies cup, moto3, moto2, MotoGP are coherent. Best in the world racing prototypes. This feels akin to pickup truck racing at F1 events. Would be a good fit for a production based series like Wsbk.
SuperHooligans would have been a far more coherent support series, with more factories directly involved in MotoGP fielding bikes. Would have made a lot more sense.
I'm not sure how this will work. This season, they reduced the number of races because the teams didn't have enough money to support more races. Dorna will have to pay out of pocket to ship the bikes and teams, and possibly pay salaries, to get them to race at other MGP events.

Not sure I’m really bothered to be honest…
By the time 2026 rolls around HD could be a heavily diminished version of its current self.
Jingoism is a helluva drug I guess...

I hope they bring over the super-hooligan class as well, I'd hate to see that get cancelled just because KoB is moving up.
....and they should let MotoGP legends run wild card races!
