it's not very wise at this point to take stock in anything the us government says. and more and more it's obvious, even to our closest foreign allies, that americans are incapable of making promises that last more than 4 years. we are not a trustworthy people.

They are already screwing up so bad that they need to scheme, cheat & rig everything possible because the midterms are going to be a major reckoning against them.
A well functioning democracy needs a well informed public-that's basic.
