Rawdogging" is a slang term that refers to doing something without the usual tools, support, or comforts. It can mean doing something without the necessary equipment or preparation. (😂Or prophylactic)

To be fair the word’s meaning/usage has changed in the context of air travel. Not sure using it outside that context has the new meaning. Perhaps leaving that out would have been the more prudent decision.
