Yea, the nerd in me was trying to figure out how Biggs got to the Rebel Alliance and was certified as an X-Wing pilot within a few days. Of course, Luke got an X-Wing in a couple of hours so maybe they were taking anyone who could fly.
Right. It is “explained” by Rogue One and the Battle of Scarif. The Alliance was absolutely savaged at that battle. That’s why they had only snub fighters to go against the Death Star; it had nothing to do with Lucas’ budget for the original “Star Wars”. 😅
Rogue One makes A New Hope better. Andor S2 makes Rogue One better. I am going to embark on a re-watch of Andor S1 through A New Hope as I think it will be epic.
Am I the only one who finds Andor extremely slow and boring? Not trying to hate on people who like it, at all; we all like what we like. This show just seems kinda pointless cuz we know how it all ends 😭
Tbf I love the aesthetic of the movie, and I think the space battle is hyper cool.
I think the characters and story are incredibly boring and I think the fan service is really annoying.
Or you can like what you like and pass on other things and not shit on the creative work of others because it’s not your cup of tea. Star Wars is great because there’s something for everyone. I love Andor, I’d NEVER want all of Star Wars to be like it. Oddly Tony G. agrees.
Thanks for this. People seem to forget that it's possible to enjoy things because they like those things, and other things don't need to be replaced or demeaned to provide value.
You can like Andor and the Prequel Trilogy, especially since most of it takes ideas and concepts from the PT, not least being the actress who plays Young Mon Mothma for starters.
Rogue One's (forced-no pun intended) ending with Darth Vader taking out the Rebel Soldiers in a hallway diminishes the impact of his entrance in Star Wars (A New Hope) where he enters.....a hallway littered with rebel soldiers, not to mention the entire tragic sequence of events before it.
Respectfully, I disagree. The hallway scene in Rogue One explains why the rebel troops were absolutely terrified for was was about the come through that door. The fact that it wasn’t Vader is because they believed they had the plans captured and Vader’s “talents” weren’t needed for the mop up.
I saw the original first, there was clearly some tension, I didn't need to be force (again, no pun intended) fed a Vader scene years later explaining why the Rebel troops would be "terrified".
Along with the CGI Leia and Tarkin it all seemed like fan service.
I wholeheartedly agree. Also, HAN SHOOTS GREEDO FIRST. This is an important point in Han's character arc and I will scream about it every time I see the Star Wars redux versions.
Trigger warning ⚠️ consequences.
Alot of the pranks on the internet are staged things. I have always thought this.

I love it! Although I could probably do without the "I am one with the force, the force is with me" on repeat x16,000. And the CGI Tarkin has not aged well. They should re-do that like they redid Yoda and Jabba.

probably could cut 30%
but still great trilogy no doubt
the machinations, the political intrigue, everything to do with those could do with expansion
