To be fair, G-Witch didn’t start getting dire for the characters until episode 6. (“Happy birthday.”)

GQuuuuuuX’s biggest departure, character-wise, from UC and G-Witch is that none of the characters have extravagant daddy/mommy issues. At least until we find out who Shuji’s parents are.

G Witch was amazing and you should give it a shot but you could tell it was “my first Gundam” for some fans. They got very upset and excited at the right things, don’t get me wrong, but once you know the typical G Beats you aren’t as shook by the emotional punches. Your guard is always up lol.

I plan to start with the original series at some point, it’s another one of those blind spots I figure I may as well fix eventually. It was just funny how I could tell when a new episode came out because everyone was crying
