Same - in December. Chicago Michigan Avenue employees were universally super smart and helpful with selection and with transferring everything from old Mac to new. Added bonus - taco truck recommendation.

Sure, but your Mac was bought outright, doesn’t have state-level requirements to provide proof of identity, licensure, or insurance before ownership can be transferred, doesn’t require a lease or finance with disclosures, or was subject to lemon laws and consumer protections and THOSE disclosures.

Surprisingly, I have been able to get in and out of Chevy and Ford dealers - those most considered to be hidebound and plaid-suited - for a Volt and Lightning and GT350 in under 45 minutes. Including time with F&I.

I've only bought one car in the past decade where I've spent more than an hour and a half including running financing, handling the trade and engaging in a test drive -- and that was because SiriusXM had an issue activating the subscription on their end.

Same, but going back 23 years. The Mazda dealer I bought three Mazdas from between 2002 & 2014 knew exactly how I wanted to deal with them & it was no bullshit start to finish [hence the repeat business when we wanted Mazdas]. < 45 min each time. Our new Lexus dealer is equally fantastic: < 1 hr.

The worst time was buying my ‘97 Neon from Ewald Dodgeland in Franklin, WI. Probably eight hours to get out of there and the F&I guy rolled his eyes and sighed since I was sixteen and paid cash that I’d saved up. A week later my salesman was in the news for SAing his niece. Real quality experience.
