🚨💣 Florian Wirtz has informed Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to join Liverpool. The contract agreement is done, sealed as Wirtz only wants Liverpool move. Club to club talks already underway as revealed earlier, #LFC are confident to get the deal DONE SOON. Not a long saga.

hmm unsure where Wirtz fits into the current system - he can play anywhere across the front 3 and also in the 10. be interesting to see what Slot's vision is for him

Double digit for goals and assists still this year and that’s been without Leverkusen playing a striker for most of the year and been shit. I will be interested to see if Slot changes system with Frimpong signing as well and if they get a new striker.

wouldn't be shocked if they go to something which allows full backs to provide width and slightly adjust Salah/Gakpo positioning to be more inside - a bit like Emery's 2x10 system at villa? but who knows

If they get Kerkez as well that could well indicate a shift to a back-3. In a 3-4-2-1 Salah and Wirtz would presumably be the 2.

Could also be they alternate between a back-4 and back-3, in which case Bradley would probably be favoured as the RB in a 4.

Or, Wirtz will be the false 9, or he could be a trad 10 in a 4-2-3-1 which would probably leave one of Mac/Szobo/Grav out, or he'll be the LW in that system or more a 4-1-4-1. Could be all of those depending on oppo, game state and such.

And I'm sure it'll be none of those things. 😂
