youre constructing your identity in the suffocating space between what you think you deserve and what you dream you could be, youre trying to read verse by the light spilling under the crack, you have no point of reference for how dim that is, you are missing so much and filling in the blanks wrong
I’m not even “in the closet” but this hit hard. Because though to everyone I’ve not been in the closet really ever, I’ve actually been hiding in here for many years. I’ve finally been opening the door more and more.
i've left the closet, but i still sleep inside with the door open. it's somewhat comforting, in the way you'd imagine a medieval torture stretching machine to be. it's time to move house.
