I already know how the early Lawson promotion will pan out. Already seen it with Gasly & Albon. It's par for the course for Horner & Red Bull however, the last time they made a good decision regarding their driver lineup was promoting Max in 2016. Since then every decision has been the wrong one.
I remember watching that special Lee McKenzie did about Franz Tost, and how much work he put into Yuki. Really believed in him. His irritation with Red Bull management must be pretty high about now, as he was pissed off enough about Gasly's treatment. Yuki really got the rough edges off.
If there's one thing RBR would like about Lawson, it is that strong 'company man' vibe he gives out. They don't want anyone that could even come close to challening Max.
he deserves the seat but if missing out means he replaces Alonso at AM in a couple years, it'll arguably be better for his career; Red Bull has a higher risk of not being great given their recent driveability problems
Has something been confirmed yet? Still stuck at work. I hope I’m wrong but I really get the feeling that this will suck harder for Lawson and he’ll be off the grid by mid 2026
