That's how I took it before the Fugitive Doctor's appearance. He was saying it's first time he's been a black man. He's been in that body long enough to see how he's treated very differently than his white male incarnations.

Im always interested when there's a potential clash between what's on screen and what the creator says. Whats on screen comes first for me. As an author, i know far less than the reader and the text itself. Authors are fools 😄
