Did you know that the only ‘pictorial’ record of Loki in UK is a stone carving in Kirkby Stephen Church? It shows Loki in chains supposedly showing the old pagan ways being replaced by Christianity

Also of personal interest as my mother’s family are from that area & my DNA is 20 per cent Norse. The dialect I spoke as a child is still understood in Norway today (it’s based on Old Norse)
