That is so true! We had a very lucky existence in the 90’s I will admit that…one benefit of living in a forgotten mining town back then was cheaper living costs. And a slightly cavalier attitude to priorities. It come to an abrupt end with parenthood. But health is one you cannot choose 😞

Can you imagine the cost of all that petrol now? 🤪🤯 Just as well we got relegated when we did, when fans weren't being fleeced on gas/leccy/water/mortgages/rent/bills/food etc. Travelling support in particular dies if no one can afford it - hence the campaigns against football teams right now 😡

We can’t afford to go anywhere near as often as we did back then even for home games. But a home game is a two hour round trip for us 😬. And more often than not it’s M who bows out as it gets eye watering for 3.

I cant imagine tbh 😖 its all to cock now. I should add my cousin was single at the time and hadnt met his future wife - who would have definitely put a block on him going to EVERY home & away game in the yo-yo years! 😆
