At this time of year he often hangs out in Bedminster, unfortunately for us. I suspect that the reason they're not sure where he's going is because they are watching the weather forecast in Central NJ. Right now there is a 25% chance of rain tomorrow, which might ruin his afternoon round of golf.

I actually have no idea what the protocol is for transporting the President. A 48-min convoy down I-287 seems possible, but also, I can't imagine they would want to do it, because shutting that whole road would cause chaos, and maybe too risky to drive him in normal traffic?

They regularly shut down 95 in and around Philly for VP/P visits during campaigns. It's not great but not chaos. They block off on-ramps ahead of the convoy and have police cars drive slowly controlling all lanes behind. they do have to come to a stop to let the convoy on and thats the worst part.
