Ok this went surprisingly smoothly for the most part -- had a hiccup with `jackson-bom` but that was easily resolved.
Hoping `jackson-module-scala` release succeeds; build uses `sbt` so I don't release that one (module owner PJ does) and if so we are all good wrt `3.0.0-rc5`

... and the bigger step, then, is to migrate `com.fasterxml` Maven namespace to Central Portal, fix ALL ci/pom.xml stuff for all repos etc. Bigger undertaking, now that workflow itself proven.

... publishing speed via Central Portal seems bit lower than old OSSRH, just for "jackson-bom" taken 10 minutes, not yet at Maven Central.

Could be first-time hurdle of course (let's hope so). Will see how it affects end-to-end effort for publishing.
