I get what you are saying. But If they choose to skip due process by illegaly sneaking into the country they are criminals. Most other countries would send them back or most likely put them in jail. Due process by an interview should be enough not housing them until a court date on tax payer money.
Seem to have missed that putting asylum seekers & others trying to come here in jail is housing them on taxpayer money. “Due process” protects ppl from government & ensures fair treatment, & has NOTHING to do w how ppl arrive.
"Rocket Dockets": In response to a surge of Central American asylum seekers in 2014, the administration implemented expedited hearings, which were criticized for potentially limiting asylum seekers' ability to present their cases fully.
I get what you're saying and you are not wrong.
Expedited Removal: The Obama administration, like previous administrations, utilized expedited removal processes for certain categories of individuals, which some argue reduced due process protections.
Yeah, but Americans created a culture that allowed that every opinion is protected, and so if your opinion is that due process is not necessary for group X then you can say that and are not classified as enemy of the constitution, like you would in other countries for just suggesting that.
(Just to be absolutely clear: In no other western civilization country you can really remove due process so easy based on how everything is structured, something Americans denied to adapt to, nearly a century now)

U may have missed this, a bipartisan bill that would have helped & that Biden had agreed to sign, to the regret of many. Trump insisted it be blocked by GOP.

Just people apprehended by brown shirts on the streets
Okay America. Tyranny is upon you. What are you going to do?
