The court case has cleared the road for any election to be a de facto election on independence. A ref would be better but with elections A: they can not stop them B: we have more of them, one about every two years.

High court, Section 30. Scotland can not hold a referendum with out the approval of Westminster. This means the only way to legally become independent is through elections.

As it is the only way it should be recognized by the wider world UN EU USA.
