Mildly interesting thing to me: Between FA and e621 I've only been able to find four (4) other pictures explicitly depicting dilating - two by @glopossum.com, one by @the.choco.one, and one reinterpreted YCH. It's simultaneously something which I completely get, and yet is also totally wild to me.

(CW: Trans woman dilating) Just got this commission this morning, which I'm super excited about. I may jump back and forth in time a bit with Alexis, but this idea came to mind and it just felt right for her.

I actually don't think I've seen a ton of post-op bottom surgery in art, let alone anything with the zero-depth variety
As far as not seeing much dilating in art, like I said I do get it. Both "not overtly horny", and a very personal subject (potentially touchy too). But at the same time I've seen people be into a *lot* of things (lest we forget Rule 36). So a little surprising.
And as far as zero-depth, tbh that was something that even I was less aware of in the first place (though also not something which I feel would be right for me).
Therefore, even if gender affirming surgery is a thing is folks' headcanons, the need to dilate - which is ultimately a commitment - might not be seen as a good thing that's necessarily worth celebrating.
Being trans is a whole package, and I think we should be able to celebrate it as an intimate a part of our transition. It feels more significant than its representation in art would suggest.
As a porn artist, that's just what I think given the kind of things that people gravitate towards.
