I disagree here. It's one of the things that brought attention to the fact it was happening at all. It also puts pressure on the firm to decide what they value; the person, or the stance. It's not her fault the rest of the firm chose the stance.
Turns out context matters. Did this accomplish that person’s stated goal? Does it honor their beliefs? Is it just a transparent power grab by fascists who will never give a shit about whatever you’re pretending to care about? Try harder or stop pretending
Resigning in protest is the right move in many cases. In this case the right move is to force them to fire you for being the only one behaving ethically
