Yeah I can’t say I remember daily weather apocalypses when I was a lad. Tornados one day, the Dust Bowl the next. Best to dismantle the NWS and pretend it’s normal.

Tornados are pretty routine here, though they’ve crept North from the Southwest Side to the Northern burbs over the years, another sign of climate change.

Yeah it was always some place like Oak Lawn or Plainfield. To the point that as a kid we felt a tornado closer to downtown like Oak Park/Berwyn/Cicero was impossible. Now they’re blowing through the northwest side. Just crazy.
