Why? I do not know for sure but it seems to be a culture of zero social programs. Everyone is on their own until they are rich.

FEMA is fed emergency management. They help with natural disasters mostly.

There’s been a long running conviction among the MAGA and pre-MAGA right that FEMA was going to put them all in camps. After Helene, FEMA had to stop going door to door because they were constantly threatened. They are crazy on conspiracy, but fine with actually putting other people in camps.

Yes and the fringe’s fear of UN takeover looks like it’s leading to the US being sold to Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Now I sound like a conspiracy nut, but the UN didn’t give the president jets and golf course land in the past so 🤷‍♂️
